photofest queretaro

Queretaro, Mexico 2012
Had a great time this past week in Queretaro. Wish I would have photographed the VII dome + Nat Geo tunnel + massive lines but apparently was so enthralled by the hospitality of the Rikky Azarcoya, founder of PhotoFest, his team, and Ashley Gilbertson, from VII, who continues to take time out of his schedule to mentor me, to take a picture. But ultimately, their enthusiasm for photography is what made this such an amazing festival so no regrets. Can’t wait for next year!
happy valentine’s day

Miami, Florida 2011
Last Friday, Photofest Queretaro announced the finalists to their photo contest and I’m happy to report that I won an honorable mention in the Photo Essay category. This is Mexico’s first international festival of photojournalism and documentary photography and I’m excited to be a part of it. View the essay I submitted on their Facebook page.
